At the request of the Association des Banques et Banquiers, Luxembourg (ABBL), the Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry (ALFI) and the Association des Companies d’Assurances et de Réassurances (ACA), Stibbe Avocats have updated the SFDR Guidelines for Luxembourg. The objective is to provide banks, investment firms, management companies, insurance undertakings, insurance intermediaries and pension firms with a comprehensive overview on the legal framework, guidelines, examples and frequently asked questions on the implementation of the SFDR in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.

This second edition aims at providing the readers with the main relevant updates since the publication of the first edition of the Guide in March 2021, including:

  • the amended SFDR RTS entered into force on 20 February 2023
  • various legislations linked to SFDR
  • communications published on EU level, such as answers by the European Commission (EC) to the European Supervisory Authorities (ESAs)

You can access the full guide here

This fully updated Guide includes references to the main key points of all communications issued by the European and national supervisory authorities on the SFDR since March 2021 and much more. It aims to help ABBL, ALFI and ACA members in their business decisions with regard to the implementation of SFDR rules, which is both a legal and an operational challenge, and we hope that it will constitute a useful interpretation tool in that respect.
