Regulatory Affairs

The regulatory landscape in the financial sector is complex and constantly changing. In order to operate successfully in this sector, banks and financial institutions have to be able to shape regulatory change and to understand the implications for their business before those changes come into force. The ABBL has a team of Advisers who closely monitor regulations, directives and laws as they are created. The ABBL gives a voice to the many different interests amongst our membership, with the aim of achieving a balanced, measured view towards law-makers and regulators alike.

  • Banking Supervision Committee

    The Banking Supervision Committee is responsible for steering the development of ABBL’s policy and strategy on banking prudential regulation and on supervisory practices.

  • Financial Markets & Intermediation Committee

    The Committee deals with financial markets regulation in the wider sense, covering the regulatory framework for financial services and products as well as market infrastructure.

  • Legal Affairs Committee

    The Committee provides members with insight on upcoming European and Luxembourg legislation. The body puts forward comments to represent members’ interests.
