Banking and financial regulation under the effect of customer protection rules

Given the evolution of the notion of customer, banking and financial law must find a balance between market regulation and the protection of individuals, in particular senior customers, affected by the digitalisation of the banking sector.

In the aftermath of the legislation on the protection of the financial client, new perspectives are emerging, in particular with regard to sustainable finance and the protection of financial clients through collective actions, and lead to questions about the Capital Markets Union project and its implications in private law.

To answer these questions and to highlight the importance of these new regulations for the protection of the financial client, the AEDBF Europe and the AEDBF Luxembourg are organising an international colloquium on the subject on Thursday 5 May 2022 in Luxembourg.

Programme

The full programme is available online.

A cocktail will close the conference, another opportunity to meet members of the AEDBF.
