The Sustainability & Conduct team works on subjects relating to compliance with standards, specifically in the field of sustainable finance, anti-money laundering, data protection and deontology. It monitors social affairs issues in order to accompany HR departments in the abundance of new regulatory issues in the field of labour law. Finally, it develops numerous actions in the fields of financial education and Corporate Social Responsibility.

Catherine Bourin holds a Doctorate in European Law from the University of Rennes and a Masters’ degree in European Law from the University of Exeter (UK). Catherine joined the ABBL in 1999 as a Legal Adviser. In 2011, she became Head of Legal Affairs. Since 2013, she has been a Member of the Management Board, in charge of the Sustainability and Conduct Department.

Catherine is a Board member of the Luxembourg Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF), the Association Luxembourgeoise des Juristes de Droit Bancaire (ALJB), the Association Européenne des Juristes de Droit Bancaire (AEDBF) and LuxFLAG. Furthermore, she is President of the Association pour la santé au travail dans les secteurs tertiaire et financier (ASTF).

Cristelle

Adviser - Social Affairs

Cristelle Cervellati holds a master's degree in French and German business law. She then specialised in human resources in Luxembourg. Cristelle joined the ABBL in 2014 as a legal adviser, and is in charge of the ABBL's social affairs Committee and the Collective Bargaining Agreement's joint Committee.

Cristelle is sector representative for labour law at the Union des Entreprises Luxembourgeoises (UEL), and is ad hoc expert at the Conseil Economique et Social. She is also Luxembourg employers' representative on the Social Affairs Committee of the European Banking Federation and on the European Commission's sectoral social dialogue in the banking sector.

Officer - Sustainability & CSR

Thomas Collin holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Finance and Economics with a specialisation in Sustainable Finance from the University of Luxembourg. He joined the ABBL in April 2021 as an intern to support the projects of the Sustainability & Conduct team. He continues his work on various topics related to corporate social responsibility, diversity and sustainable finance as Sustainability Officer since October 2021.

Adviser - Sustainable Finance

Julien Froumouth is a Sustainable Finance Adviser at the ABBL since September 2020. His responsibilities include supporting members in adapting to new regulatory requirements and the deployment of solutions through sustainable investment, finance and advisory services.

Julien started as a consultant in financial advisory services. In 2015, he joined the Luxembourg Stock Exchange, where he helped launch the platform for sustainable securities transparency. He holds a Master's degree from the Toulouse Business School (France) and is certified in responsible investment by the PRI (Principles for Responsible Investment). He is a member of several European working groups on sustainable finance.

Senior Legal Adviser

Julien Leroy holds a degree in business law and two Masters of Laws (LL.M.) in business law and European banking and finance law from the universities of Luxembourg and Paris II Panthéon-Assas. He joined the ABBL in 2017 as a senior legal adviser, with particular responsibility for anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing issues, as well as personal data processing.

Julien is a member of the European Banking Federation's Anti-Money Laundering and Financial Crime Committee. In Luxembourg, Julien is a member of the National Committee for the Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing.

Adviser - Financial Education

Jessica Thyrion holds a degree in communication from the Haute Ecole des Sciences de l'Information de Liège. She joined the ABBL in 1996 as a communication specialist. Since 2020, she is fully dedicated to financial education.

Since 2013, Jessica represents the ABBL in the Financial Education Working Group of the European Banking Federation.
